Reverse highlight and long layered haircut at Salon Sovay, stylist Sovay Reeder

Client requesting to darken her heavily highlighted light blonde hair for a lower maintenance blonde/surfer girl beach blonde.  We began with darkening her new growth/roots to a darker, more natural color level and tone that matched her real color.  Then we sprinkled some fresh, very tiny highlights around her face and a few in the crown area to soften the line of demarcation between the darker level up top and the blonde color towards the bottom.  We finished with hand painting some of her ends with bleach to emulate the surfer hair look (essentially this happens naturally with the salt water and sun).  As for the cut, it's a connected layer, face framed haircut customized based on her specific requests which, in this case, includes her need for an easy ponytail friendly layered cut...in other words, she doesn't want any of her layers too short...a common request.  Sovay Reeder, Salon Sovay
