 A classic Sovay long layered haircut with side fringe, face framed layers, shorter "volume" layers op top (crown), cascading connected layers to the ends, "U" back cut (length in center is slightly longer and gradually gets shorter towards side length).  People typically choose a "V" or "U" for the length in the back so it has a very soft, feminine shape from the back view.  People typically choose a flat or blunt horizontal line for the cut in the back if they have fine or thin hair and want the back line to look thicker.  In this client's case, she had plenty of thick hair and chose a "U".  As for the color, we utilized many different lightening approaches including super fine slices towards the front, top, and sides and used balayage (hand painted) lightening techniques for the mid shaft to ends for a very naturally lifted surfer, beach blonde appearance. ~ Sovay Reeder
